This is what they told me: prompt response to phone calls; contractors who show up on time for estimates with quick turnaround on quotes; contractors who work when scheduled; finish the work in a timely and professional manner with thorough clean up and prompt follow up for any warranty. I incorporated these concepts into my business plan.

My business plan also included hiring people with expertise in areas beyond mine. That is, I did not settle for any "cowboy" with a tool belt. When I found good employees I wanted to keep them. I treated them like I wanted to be treated and gave them the same benefits that our customers enjoy. I asked for their input. I trusted their judgment. I allowed them to work as an extension of me instead of "for" me.

I have grown the company in a controlled manner with attention to detail. Because of our commitment to you, our business has grown by 30plus % per year through repeat, referrals and new business. We also began to field requests for larger more diverse projects such as kitchens, baths, basements, additions, painting, roofs, structural repairs etc. Initially we turned these jobs down but as our experience and organization grew we felt confident that we could deliver the finished product, we began to take on the larger projects.
